Art Commissions & Public Art
Art is a central part of life at Coomaditchie. As artists, we create works that reflect the stories, colours and knowledge of the East Coast Saltwater People.
Our murals and paintings are shaped by our connection to Country and community, and can be seen across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven in schools, hospitals, parks, galleries and public spaces. Each artwork is a way of teaching, connecting and sharing culture with the wider community.
We work with local councils, schools, universities and community organisations to create public art that speak to place and history. Every project is a collaboration, grounded in our cultural knowledge and shaped by the stories we carry.
We also take on personal commissions. If you are interested in a custom artwork for your home, workplace or community space, we would be happy to talk with you about your ideas.

Workshops & Programs
Our workshops are hands-on, creative, and grounded in culture. They provide an opportunity to learn directly from Coomaditchie artists and community members through artmaking, storytelling and connection.
We run workshops for schools, community groups, businesses and private organisations. Programs can be tailored to suit different ages and groups, whether it’s painting, weaving, storytelling, or cultural learning through creative practice.
Workshops are a powerful way to engage with Aboriginal culture in a respectful, interactive and memorable way. They can be held at Coomaditchie, on Country, or at your own venue.

Cultural Education & Consultations
At Coomaditchie, we believe cultural knowledge should be shared in a way that strengthens understanding, respect and connection. Our team provides cultural education and consultation services that help schools, organisations and businesses engage with Aboriginal culture in meaningful ways.
We offer guidance on cultural protocols, input into projects, and advice on ways to embed cultural perspectives across learning, planning and community engagement. This might include cultural briefings, guest speakers, or collaborative project design. Every consultation is grounded in respect for Country, culture and community, and is shaped to suit the needs of your group or project.
