Jessica Mook Brown
Jessica Mook Brown is a proud Dunghutti and Yuin woman and an emerging artist from the Coomaditchie community. As the granddaughter of senior artist and respected Elder Aunty Lorraine Brown, Jessica has grown up surrounded by art, culture and strong family connections.
From a young age, Jessica was encouraged to paint, learning by watching and working alongside her grandmother and other family members. Her artistic journey has been shaped by this close mentorship, as well as by the stories, values and creative traditions passed down through generations.
Jessica’s work reflects her connection to Country and community, drawing on both her cultural heritage and her coastal upbringing. Her paintings speak with a fresh voice, while carrying the strength of her ancestors and the legacy of those who came before her.
As she continues to grow as an artist, Jessica brings with her a deep respect for culture and a strong sense of identity. She represents the next wave of Coomaditchie artists—proud, grounded and ready to share stories that reflect both tradition and new perspectives.
