Kanisha Storer

Kanisha Storer is a proud Walbunja Wiradjuri woman and an emerging artist from the Coomaditchie community. With a heritage that spans both coastal and inland Country, Kanisha’s work reflects the richness of her cultural identity and the stories that connect land, water, and people.

Growing up surrounded by art and community, Kanisha has been supported and encouraged by Elders and fellow artists at Coomaditchie. Her creative journey has been shaped by this intergenerational exchange, as well as by her own experiences and connection to culture.

Kanisha’s artwork explores her Walbunja and Wiradjuri roots, blending elements of both traditions to tell stories of place, identity, and belonging. Her pieces carry a strong sense of movement and meaning, offering a fresh perspective grounded in cultural knowledge.

As she continues to grow as an artist, Kanisha brings energy, insight, and a deep respect for her heritage. She is part of the next generation of Coomaditchie artists—creative, connected, and ready to share stories that honour both tradition and new ways of seeing.
